We’ve launched the GG.deals API — now available at https://gg.deals/api/

You can now access core pricing data from GG.deals to use in your own tools, bots, websites, and side projects.

Initial version includes:
• Prices API – Get current lowest prices by Steam App ID
• Bundles API – Access historical bundle data (including date, price, and contents)

Additional notes:
• The API is free for personal/hobby use (with attribution)
• Commercial access will be available soon — contact us to express interest
• We welcome suggestions for future endpoints on the forum

This is really great news, thank you so much for implementing this.

I often browse Steam and SteamDB for sales, and then use gg.deals for alerts if I decide to postpone the purchase. But this means coming back and forth between those sites, rechecking whether I already set the alert and with what settings.
It would be really useful if there was an alerts endpoint, so I could get and set/update alerts right from other websites. Other use would be adding custom alerts presets via a userscript.

Nice work! Can we retrieve data using a URL e.g., /game/half-life-2-episode-two/ instead of a Steam App ID? I'm curious to know why a Steam App ID is used. I presume Steam Sub ID, Xbox titles and other products are planned?

Requests:

Retrieve by gg.deals URL (e.g., /game/half-life-2-episode-two/)
Query DRM (comma separated)
Query key, steam gift, or other (comma separated)
Query official stores or keyshops (comma separated)

Bambie2K We created this API as a response to already existing ecosystem of userscripts and browser extensions that were scraping our game card to extract pricing info from it. Having a dedicated API for this use case is easier to use for the community and more efficient on our end. These scripts mostly used the existing redirection endpoint for redirecting from Steam IDs to our game cards (Redirecting by Steam game ID to GG.deals game card). Handling more types of identifiers is natural next step for improvements, but we want to react on actual feedback and add things that people are asking for, rather than predicting what they might need.

What is the use case for more data you're asking?

rob006 I also have a case for "Retrieve by gg.deals URL (e.g., /game/half-life-2-episode-two/)". It could be very useful for userscripts that work on gg.deals itself to add external data to its pages (I use it to indicate which games are family shared by my partner). Since not all gg.deals pages have a Steam app id in their code, I have to cache those "gg to steam" id maps only from the pages they are present on. An endpoint for this would really speed up the caching progress.

1. Individual Store/Keyshop Prices
Is there any plan to support fetching prices from specific stores or keyshops in the future?
Currently, it looks like we can only get the overall lowest prices for official stores and keyshops, which is great — but I was wondering if it might be possible to query individual stores like Humble Store, Gamivo, Eneba, Fanatical, etc.

2. Keyshop Price Breakdown
For keyshops, is there any chance the API could return more detailed pricing breakdowns (e.g., price before voucher, with voucher, without fees, etc.) that currently show up when hovering over listings?

3. Product Variants and Filtering
Sometimes keyshops list different entries for products like Steam Keys vs Steam Gifts. In some cases, only gifts are available, and they can be cheaper — which affects the "lowest keyshop price" result. It would be very helpful to have filtering options for product type (e.g., keys only, gifts only).

Additionally, regional differences often impact prices — for example, an EU-only key might be cheaper than a global key, but we may only want global versions. Platform variations also matter; for instance, L.A. Noire might have cheaper Rockstar keys but more expensive Steam keys.

Would it be possible to filter or set preferences for those kinds of distinctions?

rob006 Yes, exactly, to match those together. And supporting multiple GG.deals URLs as an input to such endpoint would also be useful for working with lists like Deals.

enchained This is a different thing than supporting more identifiers for fetching prices data. Existing endpoint doesn't return Steam ID for related game card. Supporting more identifiers will not change the scope of data returned by the price API.

The main features I'd like to see are a way to request the 3 month low and 12 month low rather than simply the current lowest/historical lowest as well as being able to get price as others have mentioned by gg.deals URL rather than Steam ID, as not all games are on Steam.
