When browsing through the general lists of games, there is no way to tell if a game is new or on pre-order.
Currently you have to specifically look at the New-releases and Pre-order lists.
I'd would suggest adding small 'New' and 'Pre-order' badges to games shown on the site, example:
You could possibly place the badge elsewhere, in the corner of the game art for example.
