Ex-wishlisted games reappear on every sync

Every time I sync my steam wishlist 19 specific games keep reappearing. Most of them are FSX addons and all of them don't have a steam page anymore so I thin...

I'll take a look at this, but this is a bit tricky and may take some time. These games are actually on your wishlist, Steam just hides them, but they still appear in API we're using to sync wishlist.

p4n0s If you can find a way to remove them from your Wishlist through Steaminfo.db, that might be the only way. Steaminfo.db is pretty much the only way I know of to VIEW deleted games. No idea if you can take any actions on said removed games.

I don't think so. They're hidden on Steam, so they probably don't care about these invisible wishlist items.

I improved sync script - now it will ignore games unavailable (do not have product card) on Steam store.

@p4n0s In your case it looks like it fixed issue completely: last sync removed 19 games from your wishlist.

However in other cases this may be more tricky. Some games on Steam are still available (they have product page), but they're hidden from search, and this affects wishlists to. For example Rocket League has product card, but it is hidden form searches, so normally you can't find this game on Steam. If you find this product card and click "Add to your wishlist" button, it will not appear on list of wishlisted games on Steam (because it is hidden), but it is still there in API and GG.deals will sync this game and show Rocket League on your GG.deals wishlist. The only way to to fix this is to find product card on Steam and remove game from wishlist there. AFAIK it also affects region locks - game can be hidden in specific regions and it may be hidden from your wishlist if it is linked to one of these "banned" regions.

BTW: If anyone has any other games that refuse to be removed from wishlist, report them in this thread, I will take a look a them. Maybe there is a way to detect these hidden wishlisted games, but I need more examples to find some pattern.

No matter how many time I remove it it still reappear, cant find it on steam either.

I'm having this issue, Yakuza games keep re-adding but I own the games (besides the dragon one)

rob006 There Is No Light 616 is another that refuses to get removed from wishlist, it re-adds itself on the next sync because there was a version of it on Steam that was delisted at some point. I had to manually remove it using this Steam guide.

Also, slightly off-topic, but games that I've removed from my Steam wishlist should get removed from the gg.deals wishlist on the next sync, right? I recently had to manually remove a few games, including Eximius: Seize the Frontline and Yet Another Zombie Defense HD, because they were never removed from my gg.deals wishlist.

I've got the same issue with Anno 1800. It's possible that I wishlited it on Steam before the release (and finally it never came out on Steam). I can't remove it on Steam because I can't see it in my Steam wishlist and can't find the related store page.
I own the game on Ubisoft connect so I really want to remove it from my wishlist.

Getz You should be able to remove this game from Steam wishlist here.

Also, I have some ideas how to ignore such games while syncing Steam wishlist, I plan to implement them in next 2-3 weeks, I hope it will get rid of this issue.

Gvaz I don't see any Yakuza games on your wishlist (except https://gg.deals/game/yakuza-like-a-dragon/).

I think I figured it out, my GOG wishlist had it added, not my steam wishlist. I didn't think to look there because I assumed it would have shown it was "GOG wishlist related" but it didn't.

Thanks for pointing it out. I'll take a look at F2P games, since old fix seems to ignore delisted F2P games.

They should be removed, but only if they were not also added manually or synced from another source (e.g. GOG). Now it would be hard to check it if you removed these games manually.
