The timeline looks nice and useful. But everything else feels bloated, you have to search segments all over the space.
The old homepage is vastly superior in providing all kind of information instantly.

I would probably suggest to combine the new timeline with the old news section. But please leave us the traditional overview.

I gave it a test drive but everything just looks jumbled up to me. The current site is so easy to use with all the information needed at a glance and layed out in an easy to follow manner. The new site just doesn't work for me, maybe its the 2 columbs with some different sizes than others but something is really thowing me off.

I agree with headmonkeyboy my eyes had a hard time adjusting to the design. When I first visited the new layout I had no idea what was going on, I didn't have that with the old one. I don't mind a new design but personally I find the old one way easier to use.

Same comment here - currently you can see everything important in single glance, on the new site you have to scroll... and scroll... and then scroll more and it's no end of it...

It seems to display information much less efficiently. I mean, comparing historic low section on the old one to the new one is just sad. The new one requires interaction to get to and then displays fewer games in more space. Why?

It really seems like you're promoting the stuff I don't care about, and pushing down the useful information I actually come to the site for.

Remike, people come to gg.deals to quickly get the information about hot new deals, best deals, historical low and freebies. With the old version they get what they want immediately after opening the page. The new version bombards us with big ass banner and pointless Discover Games at the top. No one wants those. News on the left are fine. It reminds me of LowcyGier but the right side needs fixing.

Please make top banner thinner, move Track Deals to the top. Add freebies as a tab to Tack Deals and you will notice people won't complain anymore about wasted space and information all over the place because they will get the essential info in one go.

It feels really nice but I'd leave those two tiles just at the top of the site. That big one across the whole screen doesn't give enough information at one sight. Also, the Track Deals section needs to be a loooot higher than it is right now.

It feels a lot like a redesign for mobile and like a lot of these, everything just takes way too much space on my computer screen. I agree that the old design was too stuffed but the current one just isn't stuffed enough. I'd say decrease the height of all the list items a little bit and it should be fine.

As for the rest, I wholeheartedly agree with what @Angotill said. The banner works on mobile but those kinds of banners just look awful on PC and take a lot of space for nothing. The "Track deals" must be accessible without scrolling, I never really used the lists you put in the "Discover games" section. "Discover games" feels like a section that is less time sensitive and therefore checked less often than "Track deals", so it would make sense to me to see it below "Track Deals".

Thumbs up for the news feed though, it's a great idea that I could see myself using everyday !

I check gg.deals every day, and the best thing about it is that it gives me all the information I want in a neat, condensed space. The page uses the whole screen and I have no problems reading the lists or navigating the tabs. In the new version, I'm immediately overwhelmed by how BIG everything is. I have to do 4 times as much scrolling to get to the bottom, and overall it shows me far less information than the old site. Information is now hidden from me now that the new releases, pre-orders and popular lists have been condensed, which is infuriating. The elements are now all over the place because everything is magnified so much. The old version uses the same width but offers so much more.

Overall, very unhappy and frustrated with the change, and hiding so much information will just make me not read it. My honest suggestion is to scrap it and start the redesign again, or keep the old version.

The main reason I visit your site often is the clean and structured front page.
Don't change it... I'd never get used to the cluttered mess the new page is, sorry...

I decided to give your new homepage a try and found it unusable in Firefox mobile on Android 9.

The search box freezes and hangs the browser after typing one character. I had to shut the page and reload, tried several times with the same result. No such problem on the current "old" homepage. Please don't roll it out, and certainly not before fixing this bug.

I see nothing wrong with your current homepage that requires any change.

kalamari It's there when you click on more news, but nobody will find it this way anymore, so....
is it a Steam library deja vu? I'm having one, I guess 🤣

Hi guys. I just wanna say that we hear you. We familiarised ourselves with your feedback on community forums, in the comments section as well as the pop-up polls that you've been filling in. We are actively working to reorganise the new layout in the way that it meets your expectations. We will NOT substitute the old home with the new one at any point. Instead, we will prepare another version of home, share it with you and, once again, listen to your feedback. Big thank you to everyone who dedicated their time for testing, leaving comments and suggestions. We will be back with more stuff to show you. 🙂

I dont like it. The old homepage is vastly superior. Everything is visible instantly. I dont have to constantly scroll down to see information I want.

I share the major opinion that the new layout is not an improvement over the former because the site did an excellent job providing large amount of information in a clear manner without being bloated and while providing powerful filtering and customization tools.
The idea of a timeline seems to have little point in a matter of deals where anything that expired is of no more use and the price history does keep record of major changes (I wish you could filter the price history for certain stores i.e. to see if and how often a game goes on sale on Humble) and the News, Deals, Bundles sections already have their old posts available.
To satisfy everyones wishes you could introduce a dashboard people can customize to their likes by dragging and dropping section tiles where they want them and provide the timeline for those who wish to use it.
