More specific tag search - ability to combine or exclude tags

When searching with tags is there anyway to have the search results to require all tags? Example being if I search with the tags FPS and RPG I would like to see all RPGs that are also FPSs. Not every FPS and/or RPG game in the world. Would be nice to have a toggle for the search for the results to must include all tags. That way when I search FPS and RPG, results would be some like Fallout, Borderlands, Outer Worlds, Stalker, ect. instead of get mixed bag of results like it is now. Showing every game that has any combination of the two tags.

It would be nice to have option to exclude games containing defined tags from searches - by filter or globally. There seems to be a ton of anime games and I'm not really into them.

Exactly! Something so basic... I was looking for the FPS and Open World tags, the site returned all the games that had at least one of these two tags.

Absolutely ludicrous. You'd think this would happen automatically but it isn't even an option.
Why the f*** would I wanna see 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘦𝘵 that matches 𝘈𝘕𝘠 tag when I could just search with that tag on its own if that's what I wanted?
This isn't a missing feature, it's the search just being broken because of an oversight.

Both combining and excluding items seem like useful mechanics. And it should apply not only to the tag filter but to all filters in the list format.

Default tag search resolving to an OR clause instead of an AND clause unfortunately makes multiple tag searches nearly useless. Is there a technical limitation instead of a functional reason why this was made so?

hster it depends on the filter type. For example thr DRM filter is better with OR functionality. Other filters would be useless with the AND functionality (ie. type filter where you select game OR DLC OR pack).

We simply went for a unified system that works in most cases. Admittedly, with Genres and Tag filters alternative solution would work better.

bstrd Since today "Added from", "Collection tags" and "Launcher" filters work in a similar way: they all support multi-select and excluding options.
