Receiving alerts for wishlist items after they're in my collection

Hi, hope you can help with this situation where a game is appearing in my wishlist and my collection and I'm still getting alerted about it.

I joined gg last week and I had 'Devil May Cry 5' in my Steam wishlist. I synced it to gg.
I got an alert from gg, I bought the game and it showed up in my gg collection, so far so good.
The item was of course removed from my Steam wishlist but not from the gg wishlist.
The item does not go away no matter how many times I sync. Although I can remove it manually I am wondering if this is going to be a recurring thing?

Do items from the gg wishlist have to be manually removed after I buy a game?

Hey @Mendhak, at this moment all of the created alerts can be only removed manually, but we are working on that:
Remove alerts when the game is added to my collection

As for the wishlist thing, do you have Humble Bundle Wishlist connected to your GG account? If the game is no longer on your Steam wishlist, simple sync of both Steam wishlist and collection should do the work, but it doesn't work this way if you have this game wishlisted on Humble Bundle. You will need to remove the game from HB wishlist and then do the sync of it.

Is there any update on this feature? I'd say this is my main annoyance with GG.Deals, having to manually trim my alerts as they are removed from my wishlist. I understand being able to have manual alerts though, sometimes I want to track the price of a game I own for friends.

Perhaps we could get:

Global wishlist alerts, so anything in the wishlist that meets the rules, like it's historical low, triggers an email. Then when games leave my wishlist the alerts end
Manual alerts override global wishlist alters, if a manual alert exists for a wishlisted game then it's rules would be used over the global wishlist. Like if a game bounces repeatedly to the same historical low, a low price target can be set

But overall I really like this website, I moved over from isthereanydeal back in 2019 because I find the UI here much clearer, handling of additional discounts better and the deals algorithm on the front page feels more relevant

Just to clarify:

the game SHOULD disappear from your GG.deals wishlist if it's no longer on your Steam wishlist and you synchronize.
the alert will not get deleted - sadly you have to remove it manually for now. However, as Furrek mention, we're working to resolve this issue soon.

Would love an update on implementing this fix. I currently have 145 items in my wishlist and 151 current alerts... There's no way I'm hunting for the six games that don't match!

Yes I keep checking this thread hoping for some activity.

Maybe just an option on the Alerts page or Settings for:

Remove alerts when removed from Wishlist
--OR--
Remove alerts when added to Collection

Since both are synced from Steam and other platforms this would remove the alert automatically as games are purchased or wishlists are updated (which happens automatically when a game is purchased on Steam)

We can manually recreate an alert if we want to continue to monitor the price after owning it and this alert won't be removed again

Please give us at least the ability to filter our alerts by owned (or vice versa, filter owned collections by games with alerts). @remike

There is still a problem with manual removal. If you perform a new Steam sync after removing an owned game that was previously in the wishlist. It will reappear.

HyperNoova You probably have this game on your Steam/GOG wishlist, so it is synced from there.

HyperNoova You have both games on your Steam wishlist, you need to remove them from there, otherwise the will be added again on every sync.

HyperNoova You need to ask Steam about that, this is Steam wishlist. We don't block wishlisting games already present in collection, since sometimes people still want to track owned game to buy it on different launcher or as a copy for a friend/family.
