GG.DEALS vs. Isthereanydeal

I registered on Salenauts 2 years ago, but I never liked that site. I actually got your "RIP Salenauts" e-mail today which was unexpected so I came here to see what happened. And I was totally blown away. The transformation is shocking. Although there are still things I don't like, the overall impression is very positive and I really enjoy using GG.DEALS!

I normally use Isthereanydeal to compare prices, so I thought I'd share what I like/dislike about GG.deals in relation to ITAD.

I prefer GG.DEALS because:

The design is clearer and more attractive
I LOVE inclusion of voucher codes in prices! It's one thing that annoys me about ITAD most
I like how wishlist and alerts are seperate - one is for browsing prices and one for price alerts. It's so confusing on ITAD
I like how all deals are divided into different categories (best, new, historical, 75% off and so on)
I use the website for the first time today and I'm not lost or confused or something. GG.DEALS is complex, yet quite simple.

I prefer Isthereanydeal because:

It has better price history and they're around for longer so I trust them more
It has more stores
I often browse specials on ITAD for vouchers and bundles. I didn't find such feature on GG.DEALS?
I'm just used to ITAD.

Overall, I like both sites in a different way, but I think that in the long run I might move over here for good. Keep up the hard work!

[deleted] we do have "specials"! They're called "news" 😉. Whenever a bundle appears, we publish a news article about it. If you restrict the news listing to "bundles" cateogry in filters, you will find a pretty comprehensive list of active and expired bundles - https://gg.deals/news/bundles/

You're right about vouchers though. We don't have a list of available vouchers. Yet. I'm putting it on our to-do list.

At this point, I can't really say which one I do prefer. This one is easy and more friendly to use but it's missing some features compared to the competition. I think it's too early to talk about which site is better......

gg.deals is much better ;p isthereanydeal dont even have forum and they have less likes on facebook ;p

I already removed whole wishlist on ITAD, I got everything I need here, and faster. GG Site has clear and good interface.

As someone who is using price comparison websites for the first time, I think gg.deals is a better place. I can find here immediately the most important info for me, which are the current and historical lowest prices, and that kind of information is very well highlighted. This thing alone made me want to use gg.deals.

I think the design of gg.deals is much more accessible for newbies. After 3 years of looking at ITAD I think I'm gonna stay with gg.deals for now and see how it goes.

Can't say much other than what was already said. The site just looks much more modern and accessible for someone who is new to buying cheap games, and that is one of the most important thing these days. Also the personalization options are clearer than at IATD.

If I must choose, I would choose gg.deals because of RWD, much more shops in, forum etc. BUT it will be a hard fight with a big enemy like ITAD - they have peoples who loves their minimalistic, oldschool design. They're also more popular than gg.deals (ofc I know that gg.deals is only about 1 week old) and most people doesn't like changes from stable, known site to unknown site which might be just a copy. Ofc. I support with full of my heart gg.deals but I'm just letting us know about a current situation 🙂

For me, GG.deals is much more clearer and easier to navigate through.
Maste3z To be in war with ITAD is not the point here, competition is always healthy, that's all 😉

Pretty sure there is enough space for GG.deals and ITAD 😉 I personally never liked their oldschool design, but a chance to quickly check lowest price for a game was always more important. No, when there is a competition I guess I can be more choosy 😉

To me, the previous interface on ITAD was clearer. When they've started updating it, it became mess, now it's OK I guess. Now for comparison - both do the job. Simply I could use either of them, BUT istereanydeal has one great advantage over gg and I hope devs would do something about it - integration with steam. ITAD "earned" it with the integration of Enhanced Steam plugin. Whenever I enter game page on steam store, I can see current best/historical best prices and number of times product was in bundle with links to obviously ITAD. It's obvious, that I would enter this site to check price history and other details and not gg, because I (just like many other) am lazy, and it's easier to click single link that would take me where I want, than to write gg address manually, then search for a game ... you know what I mean. Tools are just this - tools. Sometimes it does not matter if one tool is better than the other, when the worse one still does the job and is easier to use.

If GG.DEALS add news about games from kickstarer (worth to support and with good price offer) will be better then ITAD😃

Example:

Bards Tale IV: on first day all who support game got Wasteland 2 (steam) or Witcher 2 (GOG) for free + Ultima Underworld 1 & 2 GOG Key +The Bard's Tale Classic Trilogy Remastered and Emulated. I pay 20$ for 3 steam games (BT IV, Wasteland 2, BT -1-3 remastered ed.)+ 2 ultima games on GOG +drm free BT 1-3, its a bad deal ?

But all BIG titles must be NEWS (here ) at first day after few hours from start campagin on kick.
