We do indeed have new designers who are responsible for the refreshed look of the site as well as new logo.
As for similarities to GOG - could you show some examples of similar design? It's not easy to refer to this comment without examples. Could you also specify if the similarities you see are with old or new GOG? Because actually the new GOG has launched after GG.deals went into public beta. 😉
