NES's Duck Hunt. Yes it's the one with the neon orange gun and that gosh danged hell hound that giggles when you fail. It was my parent's game and system and really didn't endear me to video games. Even as a kid that stupid dog really ticked me off. I remember it so well because of 1. I was really bad at it 2. My parents still tease me about being so bad at it and 3. Because at some point I began thinking that maybe the goal was just to shoot that dog. (Video game violence didn't start with GTA, guys it started with that dog.) Of course, it was just a game but that kind of frustration sticks with you for a while.
P.S.
My first steam game was Skyrim, a vast improvement from Duck Hunt. 😅
