Create a GG.deals mobile app

I know it's too soon for that, but what do you think about creating a GG.deals mobile app at some point? And what are your thoughts about such apps in genera...

Not that I am interested in such app, but truth be told - website can't do what app can and won't work as well, but ofc. I don't see it coming anytime soon™.

I prefer to browse ggdeals on my pc so yeah, there is no need for mobile app ;p

remike I think maybe the best path to follow would be to merge both ideas. Starting with an app with the Alerts panel and push Notifications. Then, adding more of the features of GG.deals, like price comparison, price history charts, deals, news, collection, etc.
This way you would have the best features for an app before and then keep adding functionality to make the app full fledged.

BTW I would looooove to have push notifications

I don't think gg.deals requires a fully featured dedicated native app. I'm very happy using the website as an app on my phone and tablet:

If you search "add website as app (platform name here)" then you can find out how to do this.

For now I suggest two possible routes:

Make a guide page explaining what I've done above. 'Add gg.deals to your phone' showing steps for Android or iOS.
Do what CDKeys have done and made the website an actual app people can download. https://www.cdkeys.com/our-app

Either way it's the same and will probably satisfy most people.

Additional functionality like push notifications for deal alerts can be considered as separate feedback once a path forward has been chosen.

Awiaton I wish to be notified on my cell phone. It's more practical than having to check on the website. Oh, and the alerts by email doesn't work. I just lost a very good deal because I didn't receive the alert on my email. Now, if it was an app I had on my phone sending me a notification, I wouldn't have missed it.

I agree. Id like to see an app to get notifications through Android. If anyone's bored I'd like to see an app.
