Now, after "completing" Hitman 2 I can tell ... the story is much more interesting here, but you already know big bits of it - from previous games (origins of 47) and the comic book. Game leaves players with a cliffhanger like situation (again, comic related), for us to wait for season 3 ... will wait, until they will give it us for free ;p

You should have waited for the moment, when they would give all three seasons away for free ... Hitman 2 "prologue" free right now + legacy pack also free ... I don't know how they want to earn money ;p

Hm, so I added that free licence of Hitman 2 and in the store it shows I own it but it doesn't show up in the client. Also, the GOTY legacy pack is not shown as ownet but I own all of the previous Hitman. Maybe need to wait for some refreshing?

[edit] Ok, it showed up in the library once I started downloading it but it disappeared again when I cancelled. So it seems it's a free2play licence, not free4keeps, even though after clicking I had the usual "HITMAN™ 2 is now registered to your account on Steam." message. Something seems messed up a bit.

for free legacy pack, you need to "play" it first (it's fine with the demo)
so what you need to do is, just go play the HM2 free ones
then straight quit the game
youre HM2 will be auto update instantly (around 31gb-ish) to download the legacy content (HM1 content)

you'll get something like this later

and after you get your legacy pack for free, your HM2 will stick to your library until you remove the license from license page (accounts ones)

i've been playing HM2 for a while now (tho i only play it for HM1 content, since i didn't purchase HM2 for now) xD

*note you need to own Full experience / GOTY HM1 first to get the legacy pack for free (if you own like episode 1,2,3 only, you can't get them for free)

Thank you, it sounds promising, gonna try it (I have H1 GOTY). :-) Does it actually play better on the new engine? Anything you particularly liked about it compared to v1?

pb_ yup it's better in the new engine
more improvement, for example more colourful about the game info, iirc in HM1 you only get B&W color, but in HM2 you get various color, like for example trespassing will result in yellow coloured maps, and i kinda forgot but you can throw melee weapon in HM2 (at least it's on the tutorial in HM2, i don't recall it's at HM1 tutorial if the throw mode exist in HM1 since i really didn't know if you can throw it until i replay them in HM2). Sound seems have improvement too

In Hitman you can throw anything but guns. My personal favourite is throwing the axe. 😃 But it works for other melee weapons, small and big, like sabre, as well. Throw-aiming is the same button as gun-aiming, so that explains why guns cannot be thrown but I really wish they were, many a time I wanted to drop a gun on the route of a guard and I couldn't do it from afar.

pb_ sadly i didn't remember it in HM1 the throwing i mean, since i just played the game recently around 2 ~ 3 weeks ago (and just finished all mastery and some challenges left in Paris), so i just go quick upgrade to HM2 then i noticed you can throw your melee weapon there (in tutorial) LMAO

Yes, you can throw anything. There is one nice addition to H2 - while you have the same amount of items that you can take with you to the map, actually in H2 you can get 1 more and that is suitcase. It's additional throwable weapon, and it's one of those distractions, that guards take with them (like guns or explosives).

I am waiting for bugfixes to the game. There are some strange issues like (from less important) not being able to take apples (while those are highlighted in sense view) or (way more important) nearly impossible to kill one of the targets with electricity (water puddle + battery), as if he would be using rubber shoes. I saw it on youtube that someone pulled it off, but I've tried many times and he never died, while it affected other characters, including ... me 😛 At least he dies when lying unconscious in water ;p

Soul_Reaver sad i didn't own the base game of HM2 so idk yet, but if it's in the HM1 content it's works fine on my end tho (italy maps) xD havn't progressed much either, still finishing challenge from there first before i go to different maps, it was so much fun trying different approach to kill someone ~

I am playing both parts of Hitman 2 - both first and second season to unlock more deadly tools ;p But I have problems with best sniper riffle (up till now) - I can't start the bonus escalation in Marrakesh. Game instantly crashes. That was one of those "deadly tools" I've tried to get ASAP to be able to complete other challenges on other maps but I had to find other sniper riffle. I've read that they've also removed the "Ave Maria" theme from one of the riffles (I don't remember which one was it).

They really did remove Ave Maria from this sniper riffle - I am using it 🙁 It was Sieger 300 Advanced.

the game looks so cool and silly at the same time. But I still need to complete the first one T.T (I need to wait for feral to port it anyway)
I'm looking forward for this holiday. it will be gaming all day long...

I've heard it's quite good. But it has season pass, which I don't like.
