How can I get control over the gg.deals generated Disqus account?

Hello,

I noticed that my comments under the News articles are posted through a gg.deals generated Disqus account (@lowcygier-XX...). I used the "log with GG.Deals" option when I first commented so that explains that.

Now, when I open Disqus I'm not logged-in and I can only view the @lowcygier-XX Disqus profile as a guest.
I've created a new Disqus account but the two accounts are separate and I couldn't find a way to link the two accounts.
Hence the question in the title.

Well, I would like to access the @lowcygier-XX Disqus settings anyway. Is it possible?

You can disable Disqus integration in settings: https://gg.deals/settings/ - after that your global Disqus account will be used in comments section.

There is no way to manage this @lowcygier-XX account or connect it with your main Disqus account - this is a simple virtual account that inherits your main profile setting (username and avatar) from GG.deals account.

I have two more questions:

I read this on Site-Specific Profiles:

Adjust your profile or account settings If you need to change your profile or accounts settings, contact the site where you made your site-specific profile.

Am I correct that there is no such feature currently implemented on GG.deals and so there is no way to manage the list of blocked users, specifically?

I also read this from the same site:

With a site-specific profile you also have the option to manually subscribe to a discussion and receive email notifications for any new comments that are posted to that thread. The email used for notifications will be the one you used to sign up for the site.

Am I correct that the site-specific GG.deals profile also inherits the e-mail address from the GG.deals account and use it for notification when subscribed to a News article comment section?

I think they meant things like avatar or username - these should be inherited from your GG.deals account, and you already can change that at https://gg.deals/settings/

Managing list of blocked users may be unavailable for this type of account.

That should be true. However, I personally never got any notification while using site-specific profile, so it may not work at all.

In general this feature (site-specific profiles) feels like abandoned by Disqus, that is why it is disabled by default. If you plan to actively use comments section, I recommend to use regular Disqus account.
