Remove Gamivo for illegal activity

Hi all
I’ve just wasted hours of my life trying to buy something from Gamivo. It was an order coming to £47 and I was paying via secure Apple Pay.

They instead put my order on hold and told me I had to send them scans of my passport. A quick check of Gamivo and they’re either based in Poland or China. First of all a foreign company asking for scans of a British passport is illegal under UK law. I advised them due to my situation (can’t go into) I’m not supposed to provide any identifying information - if any admin wants to get in touch with the specifics then that’s okay.

The team that’s helping me (gov related) are submitting reports because yeah, the whole passport thing.

All because I’m trying to get a game no longer sold on Steam too.

This is fraud prevention and asking a passport scan for identification is not against UK law. A couple of other keyshops are doing this too. Mostly when you buy gift cards. But Gamivo is a shitty site. I have to pay VAT there and only there compare to other key sites :/
