GAMIVO is Scummy

I recently purchased Scorn from Gamivo and it was the first time I have used this platform. I just noticed that they have charged my for a monthly subscription without me actively requesting that. When I try and cancel it in the Gamivo dashboard it said I would have to further wait for their email to confirm AGAIN that I don't want their sub.

I will never use them again, and wanted to warn others. This may not be new to some but I thought it was some scummy $#!% to be aware of.

I assume you were tricked into the "SMART" subscription by GAMIVO? It is listed when you let gg.deals display the risks for the store (marked 'Paid “buyer protection”') but I believe the warning should be more prominent to alarm users to actively check for the protection durign checkout. Unfortunately they are not the only marketplace to offer such a subscription trap.

Any store trying such deceptive strategies, as well as adding "service fees" at checkout (looking at you, etail.market) should be avoided, tbh.
