Bazul Nah, I allways have more important expenses. I prefer wait for sales or bundles and get it much cheaper.
Exidan Yes, if they are indie. Most indie games are cheap and worth every penny. but I'm not paying $60 on a generic copy paste game just because its "shiny" and have great graphics, which is most AAA.

scie I try not to, but sometimes I cave in when it's a game I'm really excited about. Sometimes it pays off (Dishonored 2, the retailer had some nice gifts along with the order too), sometimes it doesn't (Dragon Age: Inquisition).
nik I prefer to wait for various reasons:- I always cut out the hype and the reviews first. New games need time to get their shit together, serverwise, bugs etc A lot of things get ironed out well, Like how The Division later became awesome experience, Shadow of War Middle Earth removed their Loot boxes entirely later after listening to players. I'm not desperate, I've lot of awesome games with me to play and lesser time.
GodKilla Sometimes when I'm very interested I pre-order them on the (non-authorized) key-stores very early, that's when their price is often as low as it will not be again until 2-3 months after release, depending on their success.
Blueaquapearl50 Unless it's an indie developer I really like and they have a discount for the release, I usually wait for a sale (Steam Summer/Winter sales break my wallet XD). I like letting other people test games before I pay for a new game and find out it's a dud or needs a lot of work. cough coughFallout76cough cough
